Upon returning to his residence in Detroit, a man spotted some activity in the deserted house next door.
Curiosity piqued, he decided to explore further and was greeted by an endearing dog that was sadly tethered to the house.
Mission of Liberation
Without delay, the man reached out for assistance, and Rebel Dogs Detroit was more than willing to respond.
They dispatched one of their volunteers, Tiffany Perkins, to assess the situation. The moment her gaze fell on the tiny pup, who was later named Beaker, she was overwhelmed with affection.
“Beaker was shy and took refuge behind the garage. He peeked from the side as I began calling him. As I approached, his tail began to wag. He then leaned against us for some petting — and seemed to be noticeably comforted. He made a sound similar to a muppet out of sheer excitement, hence he was named Beaker!” Tiffany recounted.
Given that Beaker had been chained and left alone for an extended period, he was somewhat scared of the human who approached him.
However, it only took a few moments for him to understand that Tiffany was there to rescue him!
Without hesitation, Tiffany released Beaker from his chains, and the pup could hardly contain his excitement at his newfound freedom.
Regrettably, Tiffany observed that the chain was lodged around Beaker’s neck, prompting her to swiftly take him to the veterinarian for an examination.
Veterinary Visit
As the veterinarians prepared for the procedure, Tiffany utilized this time to further strengthen her bond with Beaker, lavishing him with the affection he had been deprived of but unquestionably merited.
